**Union County Hosts Annual Skating with Santa Event for Persons with Disabilities and Special Needs**

Union County recently held its annual "Skating with Santa for Persons with Disabilities and Special Needs" at the Warinanco Sports Center. The event brought joy to children and families, who enjoyed ice skating with Santa, playing games, coloring, and crafting. Warm pretzels and hot chocolate were provided to keep everyone cozy after a session on the ice.

Union County Chairwoman Kimberly Palmieri-Mouded, Union County Commissioner Vice-Chairwoman Lourdes Leon, and Union County Commissioner Rebecca L. Williams attended the event, expressing their enthusiasm for supporting the community.

Assemblywoman Annette Quijano also joined the festivities, while volunteers from Kean University, the Elizabeth Police Department, and the Elizabeth Fire Department assisted in making the event a success. Participants received adorable stuffed animals, generously supplied by Moving NJ Forward Foundation, a New Jersey nonprofit organization and event partner.

The event was organized by the Union County Office for Persons with Disabilities and Special Needs. Families who participated can look forward to more programs and events in the future.
