**Union County Commissioners Celebrate Community Service at Jewish Family Service Gala**

Union County Commissioners attended the Jewish Family Service (JFS) of Central New Jersey 2024 Gala Dinner held at the Crystal Plaza in Livingston. The event, held last night, celebrated the achievements and contributions of individuals within the community.

Vice Chairwoman Lourdes Leon was honored with the Community Service Award during the gala, presented by Commissioner Alexander Mirabella. Vice Chairwoman Leon expressed her gratitude to Union County for inspiring her efforts to foster a more unified community.

The Commissioners also presented resolutions to all award recipients during the event. A special framed resolution was awarded to Tom Beck, recognizing his contributions as he transitions from his role with JFS to pursue his passion for American History at Kean University.

Union County officials took the opportunity to extend their congratulations to all the awardees and expressed appreciation for JFS’s partnership and its role as a valued resource for the Jewish community.
