**$12 Million RAISE Grant to Fund Linden Green Line Project in Columbus**
The City of Columbus has announced a historic $12 million investment from the U.S. Department of Transportation’s RAISE Program to fund the Linden Green Line project. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty revealed that this initiative will address connectivity issues and improve safety across Franklin County's South Linden, North Linden, and Northland neighborhoods.
The Linden Green Line is a major infrastructure improvement that aims to connect communities and foster equitable growth. The project will transform a 7-mile corridor into a 58-acre linear park and trail, benefiting the daily lives of thousands of residents and local businesses.
Key benefits of the Linden Green Line include:
- Connecting **4 community centers**.
- Linking **19 schools** throughout the area.
- Supporting the operations of **3,000 local businesses**.
- Offering safer and more accessible transportation for over **131,000 residents in the region**.
The project will serve as a critical infrastructure enhancement, turning the corridor into a safer and greener space and providing residents with improved transportation options.
