**Columbus Officials Urge Residents to Stay Safe in Extreme Cold**

The City of Columbus is issuing important safety messages as extreme cold temperatures hit the area. Columbus Public Health advises everyone to limit their time outdoors and encourages residents to check on family members and friends to ensure their safety during this harsh weather.

For those in need of shelter, the Columbus Recreation and Parks Department, along with the Community Shelter Board, is providing assistance. Residents can call the hotline at **614-274-7000** for support. Several warming centers are also open across the city to provide relief from the cold. The following locations are available:
