Scranton Mourns Fallen Firefighter Lt. Hopkins

Scranton, PA – Visitation for Lt. Kelly Hopkins of the Scranton Fire Department will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at The Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home, located at 262 Railroad Avenue in Scranton.

A memorial mass is scheduled for Friday, March 21, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. at the Cathedral of Saint Peter, 315 Wyoming Avenue in Scranton. The 300 block of Wyoming Avenue will be closed from 8:30 a.m. until approximately 12:00 p.m. to accommodate the event. Additionally, the 300 block of Linden Street may see partial lane closures near the Cathedral.

The Scranton Police Department will assist with traffic control during both the visitation and the memorial mass due to the number of people expected to attend.
