The Chicago Botanic Garden in Glencoe, Illinois, is currently showcasing one of its rare ghost orchids (Dendrophylax lindenii) in the Tropical Greenhouse. This unique, leafless orchid, which is endangered in the wild, is known for its rarity and requires specific conditions to thrive, including a unique symbiotic relationship with its pollinator.

Garden officials expect the orchid's bud to bloom in approximately eight to nine days. Visitors are encouraged to check back for updates as the blooming process unfolds.
