13th Minicozzi Run Supports Youth and College Scholarships

The 13th Annual Captain James R. Minicozzi Memorial 5K Run and 1 Mile Fun Walk is set to take place on Saturday, August 30, at 10 a.m. in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The event is sponsored by the Scranton Chapter of UNICO, a national Italian-American service organization. Proceeds from the race will benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Northeastern Pennsylvania Christmas Party and will help fund college scholarships for students at West Scranton High School, the alma mater of Captain Minicozzi.

Participants can register in advance for $25 by visiting the website runsignup.com/Minicozzi. Registration is also available on race day from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at the corner of North Washington Avenue and Linden Street, with an entry fee of $35.

Violinists to headline St. Patrick's Day at Microclimate Wine Bar

Microclimate Wine Bar in Geneva, N.Y., will be open Tuesday from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. for St. Patrick’s Day festivities described as G-splitting and corned beef-ing, with violin performances by @howley_honey and very special guest @seganmilverstein from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at its Linden Street location.
