Union County Grants Boost Linden Recreation and Greening

Staff Report / cranfordlocal.org

On October 23, 2024, the Union County Board of County Commissioners issued two checks to the City of Linden. The first check, for $60,000, was from the 2024 Kids Recreation Grant. The second check, for $8,000, was from the 2024 Greening Union County Grant.

These grants are financed through the Union County Open Space, Recreation, and Historic Preservation Trust Fund. The purpose of these funds is to help implement policies aimed at conserving open spaces, providing recreational opportunities, and preserving historic sites in Union County. The funds are intended to aid in expanding recreational activities in Linden and enhancing the overall greening of the county.
