**Union County Hosts Sensory-Friendly Performance for Autism Community**
Union County has announced the kickoff of its Sensory Friendly Theatre series for 2025 with a unique interactive show, "Artrageous." The performance, designed to accommodate children and adults with autism and other sensory sensitivities, will take place on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Union County Performing Arts Center in Rahway, New Jersey.
"Artrageous" promises an immersive experience that combines live art creation, music, dance, and storytelling. The show aims to provide an inclusive and engaging environment for audience members while delivering vibrant performances filled with color and energy. Tickets for the event are priced at $8 per person and can be purchased by calling 732-499-8226 or visiting ucpac.org/sensory-friendly-theatre.
This show is part of Union County's 25th Anniversary celebration of the Union County Performing Arts Center, a venue dedicated to showcasing performances that prioritize accessibility and inclusion.
The Sensory Friendly Theatre series will continue with additional shows, including:
- *Once Upon a Time* on March 30, 2025, featuring excerpts from classic ballets such as Swan Lake, Romeo & Juliet, and Sleeping Beauty.
- *Big Bubble Bonanza* on April 27, 2025, an interactive performance focused on whimsical bubble displays.
The Sensory Friendly Theatre series is a service of the Union County Board of County Commissioners, aimed at fostering opportunities for creative and inclusive entertainment for all residents.
