**Union County Commissioner Joins MLK Memorial Breakfast to Honor Dr. King's Legacy**
Union County Commissioner Rebecca L. Williams participated in the 49th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Breakfast, hosted by the Frontiers International Plainfield Area Club. The event, recognized as the longest-running celebration of its kind, took place under the theme “A Knock at Midnight: The Urgency of Now.”
The theme served as a reminder of the importance of continuing efforts toward equity and justice in communities. Commissioner Williams acknowledged the dedication of the Frontiers Club in preserving Dr. King's dream.
The event featured a keynote address by Dr. Junius Williams, who delivered an inspiring message in alignment with the theme. The breakfast remains a significant tradition in reflecting on Dr. King's legacy and the ongoing work for social progress.
