Today, Union County Commissioner Sergio Granados participated in a dedication ceremony for the Jeanette Shell All-Purpose Meeting Room at the Vauxhall Branch Library in Union. The event was attended by local and state elected officials, as well as community residents. Jeanette Shell was recognized as the first African-American and longest-serving employee of the Union Public Library. The ceremony honored her contributions to the library and the community.
