Sushi Day Brings Fun, Flavor to School No. 8
Staff Report / Lindenlocal.org
**Sushi Day at School No. 8 in Linden, NJ**
Linden Public Schools in New Jersey will host a special sushi day on Wednesday, October 16th, for students at School No. 8. The event will feature a variety of sushi rolls including California rolls, Philadelphia rolls, and vegetable rolls.
Each meal will come with sushi, chicken dumplings, and a vegetable eggroll. California roll samples will also be available for tasting. Students are advised not to participate if they have fish or shellfish allergies.
This unique culinary event was inspired by a suggestion from a student during a nutritional advisory meeting. The collaboration between Pomptonian Food Service and School No. 8 has resulted in a menu that aims to introduce students to different food options.
Local dignitaries, including Linden Mayor Derek Armstead and Assistant Superintendent Annabell Louis, are expected to attend. Mayor Armstead plans to sample the sushi and engage with students during lunch.
All students will have the opportunity to try the various rolls, and even those who have never had sushi before are encouraged to taste the dishes. This day promises to be not only a chance to try new foods but also an enjoyable social gathering for the students.
For further information regarding the event, please contact Michael A. Wattkis at Linden Public Schools.
